It is with great sadness that Sara and Geoff Keel announce the death of their beloved cat Totes, who passed away at home on October 29th after a brief illness, complicated by an ongoing fight against FIV.

Those who were in Totes' presence always knew it; her unique noises were unmistakable. Her absence will be felt most distinctly in the silence she leaves behind.

Totes MaGotes joined the Keel family in June of 2009, four months before Geoff and Sara's wedding. As a kitten, Totes was lively and a scrapper. She loved to explore the yard and hide in doorways to jump out when you least expected it. In her later years, Totes' battle with FIV slowed her a little, and she could most often be found resting on her heating pad or enjoying the sun on the deck. Totes loved to be pet along her nose, behind her ears, and under her chin—but she was a fierce protector of her belly.

Totes M. Keel's life and moments will always be remembered fondly by her family and many friends. Sara and Geoff are so grateful to have had eleven wonderful years with their sweet, feisty, gremlin girl. She was greatly cherished, and her time spent with us will never be forgotten.
