My mom and I first spotted Susie at the 1997 Jacksonville Cat Show, in January.  Susie shouldn't even have been there at all, as she was too young.  We held her and spoke to her, but didn't take her just then.  We went and had brunch at the beach, and it was there that we decided to go back and get her.  Thank goodness we went back, because there was a gentleman who also seemed quite smitten with her.  Fortunately, Susie came to live with us.  She was an incredible kitty, and such a fighter.  Despite numerous issues in her later years, she just kept on trucking.  A fantastic travel companion, and my best friend.  She is missed greatly by myself and her niece, Joules.
