Obituary

Samuel "Sam" Gosney went to hang out with Jesus for eternity on August 5, 2017. Sam was born January 2011. On March 6, 2012 he came to live with us. He was spectacular in every way. He had a heart full of love. We adored each other from the moment we met. One of his favorite things to do was running on the beach. When he was a puppy we would walk to the beach late at night. He would take off running and then turn around in all his 80lbs and run full speed straight for us. We would fall and laugh hysterically. He brought us much joy and laughter. He loved peanut butter, squeakers, and hugs. Toys lasted only a few minutes because he HAD to get the squeaker. Sam loved long walks in the evenings, and going running with his sister. He always loved his walks and when we spelled w-a-l-k out in code to each other, his ears would perk up like he knew how to spell. Sam loved finding huge sticks/small logs, he would drag them down the street all the way home. People would point and laugh driving down the road. It didn't matter how far either if it was the right stick. Kevin bought me a beautiful chaise before we got Sam. Sam loved it! It was a hard struggle for a couple of years, but he finally won out. He loved to greet us at the door, or laying on his chaise with that big tail wagging when we came home. He loved to curl up behind Kevin's knees when he slept with us. When Kevin wasn't home, Sam would sleep with his head on Kevin's pillow. He was the best dog anyone could have ever been given by Jesus. Jesus blessed our hearts with him for five years. When we were filling out forms to adopt him, the lady in the office had to run and save him. Sam was the Lord's from the beginning. He saved him with seconds to spare on adoption day, and Sam left the same way - within seconds, but happy and playing ball with a family he loved.  It was five years of pure joy with him. We don't why he needed to leave so soon, but we are trusting and believing in God's timing.

For men and animals both breathe the same air, and both die. So mankind has no real advantage over the beasts; what an absurdity! All go to one place—the dust from which they came and to which they must return. For who can prove that the spirit of man goes upward and the spirit of animals goes downward into dust? Ecclesiastes 3:19-21 TLB

"The Lamb is worthy (loudly they sang it!), the Lamb who was slain. He is worthy to receive the power, and the riches, and the wisdom, and the strength, and the honor, and the glory, and the blessing." And then I heard everyone in heaven and earth, and from the dead beneath the earth and in the sea, exclaiming, "The blessing and the honor and the glory and the power belong to the one sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever." And the four Living Beings kept saying, "Amen!" And the twenty-four Elders fell down and worshiped him. Revelation 5:12-14 TLB
