Salem
Alonso
d. May 30, 2020
With heavy hearts, On Saturday May 30, 2020; our handsome boy Salem Alonso crossed The Rainbow Bridge, peacefully with his Mom and NiNi by his side at the young age of 14.
Our boy Salem 'Saberhagen' Alonso (yes, from Sabrina the Teenage Witch) came to us unexpectedly. We didn't adopt him, he adopted us. Even though we had called it quits on anymore animals, he changed our minds, and came in with full force and captivated our hearts. (He was so persistent when he knew what he wanted)
He loved his naps, his rainbow goldfish crackers, fresh water from the faucets in the bathroom and his catnip. (He may have had a bit of a 'nip' addiction!)
Salem quickly began building loving relationships with all those who came in contact with him. Well, maybe not Queen Tiggy at first, but they grew to tolerate each other. Together, Salem, Tiggy, & Pickles became the 3 Amigos. And I feel they secretly plotted to rule the house, over their big dogs, Bear & Reece.
When we found out he was 14, it completely shocked us all! But that didn't change our minds on our sweet, skinny, and sassy boy! We knew we wanted him to live out the rest of his life, here with us, His endless 'nip' suppliers.
Laying all jokes and being funny aside, we miss our boy more than anything. He really did come in and fill our lives with so much joy and happiness, love and memories! Even though I was the only one he would growl at (yes, growl) Although, I'd love to hear him growl at me one more time, I know he is no longer in pain and suffering.
He was a great little guy and I am so happy we gave him his permanent home and saw exactly what a truly loving, kind, and caring home really was. I do wish we had him from the beginning so he wouldn't have had such a hard, lonely and rough life.
Salem leaves his memories to cherish, to his mom; Angelica. His stash to his feline sisters; Tiggy & Miss. Pickles.
His memory of rubbing his rear end in the faces of his canine brother Bear and canine sister Reece.
His Nini will cherish everything about the Rottweiler packaged in a tiny little frame.
Please keep us in your prayers as we go through the mourning and healing process. Alesha, Angelica, & Alonso: Salems Loving Humans
