Max Ledford was a sweet-natured guard and protector for his humans (Mike, Annie, Thad and Allie) and his dog-brother, Dozer. After Dozer passed away in January, Max missed him tremendously. He tried to keep going, taking Annie around the farm on walks, and tracking the many rabbits and deer that roamed there. But his thirteen year old eyes and hips finally gave out on him. On March 2, 2024, we tearfully let Max go to join his best buddy Dozer.

We will miss your sweet snaggle-toothed smile, your many kisses, and the way you always watched for us to return. It's sure hard coming home to you not being here. We know you are running with Dozer and playing with Jesus in heaven. See you later Maxie! We love you.
