Ember, lovingly known as Embies or Embitaber, passed peacefully on October 14, 2025, under the warmth of the sun and the gentle breeze that carried her soul home. Diagnosed just two days earlier with a splenic mass we knew was hemangiosarcoma, she left this world with the same quiet strength and dignity that defined her life.

From the very beginning, Ember was a fighter. At just three months old, she was diagnosed with osteochondritis dissecans—a condition that might have slowed others down, but never her. Even on her worst days, you'd never know she was in pain. Her resilience was matched only by her sweetness.

She was one of five babies from a cherished line, but her bond with her brother Drago was extraordinary. They were more than siblings—they were wombmates – twins I am sure, inseparable from the start. Wherever Drago went, Ember was right beside him, her loyalty unwavering.

Ember had a way of wrapping herself around your heart—sometimes literally, as she loved to grab your legs with her paws when you sat down, as if to say, "Stay a little longer." And we always did.

She was our guardian, our comfort, our joy. Her absence leaves a silence that echoes, but her memory fills every space she once touched.

Run free now, sweet girl. No more pain, only peace. You were—and always will be—so deeply loved.
