Obituary

My Dearest Chase Marley,

As your earthly journey draws to a close, my heart is filled with both sorrow and a profound gratitude for the time the Lord lent you to our family. You came into our lives a gift, a creature of pure love and unwavering loyalty, and you have enriched our days in countless ways.

Though our hearts ache with the parting, we find comfort in the words of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." The Lord, who created all creatures great and small, understands our sorrow, and He will be our strength in this time of grief.

Your playful spirit and unconditional affection have been a constant reminder of the simple joys in life, much like the lilies of the field that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 6:28-29, "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." You, in your innocent beauty and trust, have shown us a glimpse of God's creation.

We are thankful for the years of companionship, the wet nose nudges, the happy tail wags that greeted us each day. Your presence in our home was a constant source of comfort, a living testament to the Lord's boundless love that extends to all His creations (Psalm 36:6, "Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep; you save both people and animals, O Lord.").

Though your physical presence will be gone from our sight, the memories of your love and loyalty will remain etched in our hearts. We trust in the Lord's promise in Revelation 21:4, "[He] will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." While this promise speaks to our eternal home, we hold onto the hope that the love we shared with you is a reflection of God's enduring love.

Go now, dear Chase Marley, and rest in peace. May the Lord's blessings be upon you, and may you find joy in His eternal presence. Your paw prints will forever remain on our hearts.

With eternal love and gratitude,
Mommy, Daddy, Sissy, Brother, and noodles
