For 15 of your 19 years I got to have you by my side. I was only 19 when I walked into that shelter. The moment you saw me you stood up on the walls of your cage. You didn't bark or whine, just wagged your tail and watched me everywhere I went. In that moment I knew I had to take you home. On your freedom ride you just couldn't contain yourself, you bounced back and forth between the seats and then squeezed your way behind my back and stuck half your body out of the window. After I finally got you out from behind me you went to the passenger seat stuck your head out the window and within seconds had managed to roll the window up on yourself!! It was in these few short moments I knew you were going to be a handful! And for every minute of every day for the past 15 years you never failed to prove me right! You were the most stubborn, feisty, wild dog I had ever met. But I wouldn't change a second of it! Nothing stopped you or slowed you down. No matter how old you got, no matter how much pain you were in, no matter how many times those back legs just didn't want to do what you wanted them to. You never quit, you were always ready for the next adventure! I'm gonna miss you so much buddy, life just isn't going to be the same without you.
